Analog/digital Synthesizer consisting of 3 Rack Modules (the 340 Processor Unit, the 340 Generator Unit, and the 380 Event Generator 16 track sequencer), a Computer Terminal, and a Keyboard (5 octaves, for manual playing of events into the Event Generator, as well as polyphonic playing with the 340 Wave Generator). Both the 340 and the 380 interfaced with a cassette recorder. The 340/380 System has 8 sound sources as a standard configuration with the ability to expand up to 16 sources. It features 8 audio outputs, 2 stereo outputs, 1 mono output, 15 trigger outputs, 4 C.V. outputs, 10 supplemental outputs for drums and a sync-to-tape input.

Thomas Dolby used a 340/380 System in the early 80's.
